Beach time. I wish I had the photo to share with you all what we discovered today. I do have it, but it’s on Hubbie’s phone, and I’m still in the process of working out how to upload his mobile pics onto various devices.
I may just need to update this post with a selection of ‘paradise’ photos, because this afternoon was just…
After a 15 minute walk to the beach this afternoon, we down walked a windy path amongst bushy trees and flora a further 10 minutes, manoeuvring across some sharp and slippery rocks, until we found a tiny piece of accessible coastline that had sand.
It was sectioned off by the cliff-face above it, and the large gigantic rocks on either side, meaning to get to this piece of perfection you had to stretch those leg muscles and steady yourself to get to this most desirable and secluded of places. And once there, it was amazing.
It wasn’t really a swimming section of water, as there was quite a bit of seaweed being swept up on shore… but it didn’t matter. On one end, winding coastline; on the other end, ocean for as far as the eye can see. Tiny boats bopping on the horizon. Sun beating down as it made its slow descent down for sunset. Baby girl throwing rocks into the water, laughing with joy, being careful not to get her shoes wet by the gentle waves crashing in, rays of light illuminating her head.
Ahhh. This is what we came for. This is what you live for. This is what it’s all about.
